Air Tahiti Nui staff travel & standby

• List yourself in myIDTravel on the flight you want to take. If your airline doesn't use NIET, list by contacting an Air Tahiti Nui Call Center.
• If you come to check-in without a listing, you are boarded only if there is space, after the listed staff travelers.
• If you decide not to fly, remove your listing in myIDTravel as soon as possible and before departure, so that no meal is ordered for you.
• If you aren't boarded by the time check-in closes, station agents can list you on the next flight if you ask.
• Multi-segment flights, TN 7/8 PPT-CDG via LAX, TN 57/58 PPT-CDG via SEA, and TN 101/102 LAX-AKL via PPT, can be requested as one segment (for example PPT-CDG). myIDTravel splits them into two segments automatically.
• If you pay with someone else's credit card, enter the cardholder's name, or the payment will be rejected.

Codeshare flights not operated by Air Tahiti Nui. There are no embargoes.

Carry a valid passport, the visas and the health certificate required by your destination and by every scheduled stop on the way, in case you are off-loaded there for commercial or other reasons. Air Tahiti Nui can deny boarding if you lack documents for any transit point, and takes no responsibility for missing or invalid documents.

USA: if you travel under the Visa Waiver Program, you need an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization), ideally applied for at least 72 hours before departure. You don't need to enter travel details or a US address. An approved ESTA is valid for two years, so apply early if you may go to the USA in that time. Without it, you can't fly Air Tahiti Nui to the USA. The countries in the Visa Waiver Program are listed on https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov

• Checked: 1 piece of 23 kg. Excess baggage follows the full-fare rules and is paid in full at normal rates: see www.airtahitinui.com.
• Cabin: 1 piece of up to 115 cm in total (length + width + height) and 10 kg.
• On top of that, 1 personal item of up to 3 kg: a handbag, a small camera case, an infant bag or baby food, or a laptop with its case.

Check in at the counters for your flight while they are open. They open 3 hours before departure and close 1 hour before. If you arrive after check-in has closed, you can be denied boarding.

Through check-in isn't available on standby. Leave yourself enough time to land and check in again at every stop.

Paying passengers come first, so staff travelers get a seat only at the check-in counter on the day of departure.

• Special meals (for example CHML, BBML or VGML) aren't available on staff tickets. If you follow a special diet, make your own arrangements.
• Children under 16 can travel on a discounted staff ticket only with an adult on the same type of ticket.

Your outfit must be impeccable and decent. If it's too casual or untidy, beach shorts or flip-flops, for example, you can be denied boarding.

Before, during and after the flight:

• Behave as impeccably as passengers in your class are expected to, and be courteous to other passengers and to Air Tahiti Nui staff on the ground and on board.
• Cooperate with the staff on duty: for example if you are asked to change seats or sit next to unaccompanied minors, or if no meal is available.
• Be discreet about travelling as a staff passenger.

Following ZED standards, staff travel earns no frequent flyer credit. You can't use a frequent flyer card for its benefits either: miles, lounges, ground services, special offers, reduced-rate business facilities or upgrades.
