How to list for standby on Bangkok Airways
List in myIDTravel.
- A travel partner or companion can only fly together with the staff member.
- You can't hold a standby listing and a confirmed ticket on the same flight.

Flights you can't use
- All codeshare flights.
- Flights not operated by Bangkok Airways.
- Charter flights.
Visas and travel documents
Make sure you and your family have a valid passport and the right visas for your destination and for any scheduled points on the way, in case you are offloaded there. Without a valid passport or visa you may be denied boarding.
Baggage
Checked baggage:
- Economy: up to 20 kg per adult or child.
- Business: up to 30 kg per adult or child.
- Infants: 10 kg.
Cabin baggage: one bag per adult, child or infant, up to 5 kg.
- ATR72: up to 44 × 28 × 23 cm.
- Airbus319/Airbus320: up to 56 × 36 × 23 cm.
Check-in
Go to the PG standby counter at least:
- 1 hour 30 minutes before a domestic departure.
- 2 hours before an international departure.
Through check-in isn't available.
Boarding, seats and upgrades
Be at the departure gate no later than the boarding time printed on your boarding pass.
Special services, children and pets
No special service requests (SSR) of any kind can be made on a staff ticket.
Dress code
Dress smart casual, in line with public standards of good taste. These aren't acceptable:
- Tracksuits, frayed or patched/ripped jeans, worn-out or dirty clothes
- Distressed clothing, or clothes with rips or holes
- Tank tops
- Shorts and short skirts
- Sandals (flip-flops), bare midriffs or bare feet
- Beachwear
Airport staff can deny you boarding if they think your outfit isn't appropriate.
Changes and refunds
- Ticket number starting with 829 (NIET method): log in to myIDTravel and use the Refund menu.
- Ticket number not starting with 829 (IET): contact your own staff ticket desk.
Bangkok Airways may dispute an illegitimate chargeback and charge the extra chargeback fees to the cardholder.

- Staff tickets don't include lounge access in any class.
