To fly standby on FitsAir, email [email protected]: the airline makes the booking or listing for you and sends a card payment link. Paying passengers board first, and standby travellers can't make seat, meal or other special requests. Staff Airlines shows estimated open seats on FitsAir flights before you go.

How to list for standby on FitsAir

FitsAir is a myIDTravel member, but its booking system isn't connected to myIDTravel yet, so for now requests are handled by hand.

Email [email protected] with your request.
FitsAir makes the booking or listing and sends you a payment link for a credit card.
Once you have paid, the ticket is issued and emailed to you.

Flights you can't use

Only flights operated by FitsAir (8D) are covered. Flights operated by any other airline are not.

Visas and travel documents

You and your family need a valid passport and the right visas for your destination and for every scheduled stop on the way, in case you have to be offloaded there. Without them, you may be denied boarding.

Baggage

Your checked baggage weight allowance is shown on your ticket.

Boarding, seats and upgrades

In line with industry practice, paying passengers are accepted first, before anyone on an ID or ZED ticket.
FitsAir's own staff have priority over staff of other airlines on ZED tickets.
You can't request a seat. If the flight is very empty, the check-in agent may ask whether you'd like an aisle or a window, depending on availability.
A seat given to you at check-in can still be changed if paying passengers need it.
Don't ask any staff member for an upgrade.

Special services, children and pets

Special meals can't be pre-booked on rebate or standby tickets.
Infant safety seats can't be used on board.
Unaccompanied minors aren't accepted.
No other special service requests are possible on standby or space-available tickets.

Dress code

Staff and family members must dress smart casual. Clothes should be neat, undamaged, well kept and properly fitted. FitsAir is obliged to refuse ID passengers who are dressed inappropriately.

Not acceptable:

Tight or short skirts and dresses (above the knee), see-through or revealing clothes.
Work boots, rubber shoes, flip-flops and beach slippers.
Vulgar clothing, or items with words, terms or pictures that could offend.

Good to know

Nobody can be accepted in the flight deck.
Comprehensive travel insurance is recommended: FitsAir won't compensate you for injury, illness, or lost money, documents or belongings while you are away from home.

Can I book a FitsAir staff ticket in myIDTravel?

What should I wear on FitsAir?

Smart casual: neat, undamaged, well-fitting clothes. Short or revealing outfits, work boots, rubber shoes, flip-flops and offensive prints aren't accepted.

Can I choose my seat on a FitsAir standby flight?

No. Seat requests aren't allowed, though on a very empty flight the check-in agent may offer an aisle or window seat.

Can my child travel alone on FitsAir?

No. Unaccompanied minors aren't accepted.

Which airlines can I fly on ZED fares?

It depends on the ZED and interline agreements of the airline you work for. In Staff Airlines, the partner airlines filter shows only the flights you can board.
