Nepal Airlines staff travel & standby

You need a listing for every flight; without one you will be refused travel.

• List for flights operated by Nepal Airlines through www.nepalairlines.com or [email protected]
• On the website, fill in the Flight Choices section. It helps the check-in system allocate seats: for example, it shows whether you are willing to be split across cabins or flights when traveling with others on the same ticket type.
• Nepal Airlines doesn't accept coupons for a different airport pair: the airports on your coupon must match the flight you want to take.

• No single bag may weigh more than 20 kg, whatever allowance applies to your flight. Repack anything heavier into separate bags, and pay any excess baggage charges if that takes you over your allowance.
• Cabin: 1 medium bag up to 56 × 45 × 25 cm and 7 kg, which you must be able to lift into the overhead locker yourself, plus 1 laptop bag, briefcase or handbag.

Complete check-in by 120 minutes before the scheduled departure, to allow for added security procedures.

Through check-in isn't available on standby, so leave enough time at every stop to land and check in again.

When two or more interline staff travel on the same flight, check-in time at your boarding station sets the order for boarding and offloading, and for moving up or down a cabin.

You can't request seats on a staff ticket. If the flight is open, the check-in agent may offer you an aisle or a window, depending on availability. A seat assigned at check-in can still be changed for commercial reasons, and you must change seats if check-in staff or crew ask you to.

Don't ask staff for an upgrade. If there are no seats in your own cabin on the day, you are automatically considered for the next cabin up, depending on commercial and operational needs and provided you meet that cabin's dress code.

• No special services are available on standby.
• Special meals can't be pre-booked on staff tickets. If you or your travelers need a special diet, bring enough food of your own for the whole flight.
• Infant safety seats can't be used on board on staff tickets.
• Children under 16 can travel on a staff ticket only with an adult on the same type of discounted ticket.

• In any cabin, on long-haul overnight flights, you may change into a plain-colored tracksuit after take-off.
• Sportswear, beachwear and other extremes of leisure wear aren't acceptable in any cabin.
• Smart national dress or company uniform is fine in every cabin.

• Staff traveling in premium cabins don't receive amenity bags.
• Nepal Airlines uses 757-200 configurations on routes such as BKK, HKG, DOH, DXB and KUL.
