Listing is mandatory on every Smartwings flight, and it is made when you buy your ticket in myIDTravel. Other airline staff are accepted only after Smartwings' own employees, and through check-in isn't available, so leave time at each stop. How to list for standby on Smartwings
You must be listed on every Smartwings (QS) flight. All tickets are issued in myIDTravel, and the listing is made at the moment you buy the ticket.
Check these rules before you travel. As the employee, you are also responsible for making sure everyone travelling on your staff travel benefits knows them.
Flights you can't use
- Charter flights.
- Codeshare flights not operated by Smartwings.

Visas and travel documents
For international trips, every passenger needs a valid passport and the visas required for the destination and for each scheduled stop on the way, in case of offloading there. If Advance Passenger Information (API) is required, you fill it in in myIDTravel.
Baggage
- Checked baggage in Economy for adults: 1 piece up to 23 kg. Children aged 2–12 get the same allowance as adults. Limits of your price package also apply: see www.smartwings.com for details.
- Infants up to 2 years without their own seat: 1 piece up to 10 kg and 115 cm at most (length + height + width).
- Cabin baggage: 1 piece up to 8 kg is free, no larger than 55 × 40 × 23 cm including the handle, side pockets and wheels. Everything else you carry must fit inside it.
Check-in
- Check in at least 60 minutes before short-haul flights and at least 120 minutes before medium- and long-haul flights: this is the recommended time.
- Use the Economy class counter.
- Check-in closes 40 minutes before departure.
- ID passengers can check in online too, but depending on how full the flight is, your seat may be given to you at the gate.
- Through check-in isn't available on ID tickets. Leave enough time at each stop to land and check in again.
Boarding, seats and upgrades
Staff of other airlines are accepted once Smartwings' own employees and their eligible family members have been checked in. When several ID travelers are on the same flight, priority goes:
- First to those listed on that flight.
- Then by date of joining.
Dress code
Smart casual is recommended: well groomed, neat and clean, conservative and in good taste.
Not allowed in any class:
- Shorts.
- Sweatshirts.
- Tops that leave the shoulders bare.
- Sandals.
- Sportswear or sports footwear for women.
