Yemenia staff travel & standby
Listing is mandatory for standby travel on Yemenia (Yemen Airways) e-tickets, and it is done in myIDTravel; the confirmation comes to your email. Yemenia's own staff have priority over other airlines' staff on ZED tickets, and through check-in isn't always possible on standby. Staff Airlines shows estimated open seats on Yemenia flights before you go.

How to list for standby on Yemenia
Listing is mandatory for standby travel on e-tickets. If your airline uses myIDTravel, list through your airline's own internal link: myidtravel.com
- Your listing confirmation is sent to your email address.
- Listings are for ID00R2, B2 and ID90R2 staff tickets only.
- Don't contact Yemenia's call centres or airport ticket offices (ATO) about passenger loads.
For any other questions, email [email protected].
Flights you can't use
Codeshare flights not operated by Yemenia and charter flights (IY3000–IY9999) can't be booked or listed.
Visas and travel documents
Getting your passport, visas and vaccination certificates, and checking they are valid, is up to you before you set off. Yemenia takes no responsibility for missing or invalid documents, and any fine the airline gets because of them is passed on to you in full.
Baggage
You get the same allowance as a full-fare passenger, but your bags travel only if there is space and the flight's weight limits allow it.
- Economy: 1 piece of 23 kg.
- Business: 2 pieces of 32 kg each.
- Cabin: 1 bag up to 7 kg, which you must be able to lift into the overhead locker yourself.
- Excess baggage is charged under the normal full-fare rules and paid in full at the check-in counter.
- Don't carry items for anyone else.
Check-in
Check-in times follow the standard of each airport. If none is given, check in at least 60 minutes before departure. Once you are listed, you can use the self-service kiosks. Have a copy of your e-ticket ready at check-in.
Through check-in works for confirmed ZED and MIBA tickets, but on standby it is sometimes not available. Leave enough time to land and check in again at every stop.
Boarding, seats and upgrades
Yemenia's own staff have priority over other airlines' staff on ZED tickets.
- MIBA priority: 40 minutes.
- ZED priority: 60 minutes.
Seat requests aren't allowed on ID tickets.
Special services, children and pets
- Special meals can't be pre-booked on any rebate ticket.
- A wheelchair for a passenger with a serious disability can be booked as an SSR in the reservation.
- Children under 14 can travel on a rebate ticket only with an adult on the same type of ticket.
- Unaccompanied minors (UMNR) aren't accepted on standby.
- Animals in the hold (AVIH) aren't carried for other airlines' staff travelling on ID tickets.
Pet in the cabin (PETC):
- Bring your own soft-sided carrier, no more than 115 cm in total dimensions and 8 kg, that fits under the seat in front of you.
- Only one carrier per passenger.
- PETC is always charged as excess baggage, whatever your cabin bag weighs.
- Book it at the check-in counter; it depends on the load.
- You are responsible for import and country rules and all the animal's documents.
Dress code
Dress and groom yourself to suit your class of travel and Yemenia's image. Worn-out, dirty or torn clothes, beachwear and jogging outfits aren't accepted on board, and the station can refuse passengers who are improperly dressed.
