Azores Airlines staff travel & standby

Bookings, rebookings, refunds and listings are handled only in myIDTravel.

1. Buy your e-ticket in myIDTravel. This creates your listing automatically: you don't need to do anything else.
2. Once your payment is validated, an itinerary receipt is emailed to you.

You can't hold a standby listing and a confirmed ticket on the same flight. Don't hold a seat with a confirmed revenue ticket in order to swap it for a ZED standby ticket later.

Getting your passport, visa, ESTA, eTA or vaccination certificates, and checking that they are valid, is up to you before the trip starts. Azores Airlines isn't responsible for missing or invalid documents. Any fine S4 or SP receives because of them is charged to the traveler or passed on to the staff member (ID passenger).

Checked baggage:

• Economy class: 1 piece, up to 23 kg.
• Business class: 2 pieces, up to 32 kg each.

Cabin baggage:

• Economy class: 1 piece, up to 8 kg and 55 × 40 × 20 cm.
• Business class: 1 piece, up to 8 kg and 56 × 45 × 25 cm.

• Inter-island flights: 1 h 30 min (latest 30 min).
• Domestic flights from Terminal 1 Lisbon: 2 h (latest 1 h).
• Domestic and European flights: 1 h 30 min (latest 45 min).
• Intercontinental flights: 2 h 30 min (latest 1 h).

Without checked bags:

• Inter-island flights: 40 min (latest 20 min).
• Domestic flights from Terminal 1 Lisbon: 1 h 05 min (latest 50 min).
• Domestic and European flights: 50 min (latest 30 min).
• Intercontinental flights: 1 h 10 min.

On a trip with several flights, Azores Airlines tries to check you through to your final destination. But as a PAD (Passenger Available for Disembark) you may be offloaded or asked to get off at a connection point if the seat is needed for a revenue passenger. In that case you may need a new ticket and a stopover, which you arrange yourself.

Once you've been accepted, be at the boarding gate by the time printed on your boarding pass.

Dress smart casual, in a way that suits the cabin you're eligible for. Sportswear, beachwear and other very casual clothes aren't accepted in any cabin. If your outfit isn't appropriate, you may be refused travel.

• To cancel, open your PNR and cancel the flights before departure.
• To get a refund, open the ticket in myIDTravel and refund it in full or in part. The refund is processed automatically and straight away.
• A ticket can be refunded only once: if you refund one segment, you can't refund another one later.
• If the refund needs manual handling, it may take a month.
• Full and partial refunds must be requested within 365 days of the ticket's issue date.
