How to list for standby on EL AL

Buy every ticket you need for the whole journey before you leave your base. Unless you use myIDTravel, your tickets must be issued by your own airline. EL AL doesn't reissue tickets for employees of other airlines.
Visas and travel documents
Carry a valid passport and the visas you need for your destination and for any scheduled stop on the way, in case you are offloaded. Without a valid passport or visa you may be denied boarding.
Baggage
Staff travellers get the same allowance as commercial passengers; check www.elal.com before you fly. Under the ZED bag rule, EL AL gives ID travellers 1 piece of 23 kg free.
Boarding, seats and upgrades
Standby passengers are boarded according to the priority list, by airline and by DOJ. EL AL's own staff come before staff of other airlines travelling on ZED tickets.
You can't pre-book a seat.
Special services, children and pets
Special meals can't be pre-booked on staff tickets.
Dress code
Your appearance and behaviour must follow EL AL's policy. Don't cause any inconvenience to paying passengers, and don't distract ground staff or cabin crew from serving them. Dress in line with public standards of good taste. Parents are responsible for how their children dress and behave.
Not allowed:
- sheer or revealing clothing
- clothing with offensive words or graphics
- beach clothing or beach footwear
- shorts, except for children
