All Volaris staff travel is bought through ID90 Travel, because Volaris is ticketless. On space-available travel you wait until every other passenger has boarded, and unused bookings are refunded only if you write to Volaris at least 3 days before the flight. Visas and travel documents
Getting all the travel documents you need, including visas and special permits required by the countries you depart from, arrive in or pass through, is your responsibility, and so is meeting their immigration and border rules. Volaris isn't liable if you don't.
Baggage
- 1 carry-on plus 1 personal item.
- Carry-on: up to 22 × 14 × 9 inches.
- Personal item: must fit under the seat in front of you.
- Carry-on and personal item together: no more than 44 pounds.
- Checked bags (if you buy them): up to 62 inches in total (length + width + height).

Boarding, seats and upgrades
Boarding goes by check-in time. On space-available travel, you wait until all other passengers have boarded and Volaris staff have checked for free seats before you know whether you can board.
Special services, children and pets
- Wheelchair: request it with your reservation and let Volaris staff know.
- Infant seats brought on board must be no wider than 17–20 inches and weigh less than 11 pounds. If the seat isn't used on the flight, it must be checked as baggage.
- Unaccompanied minors: children aged 5 to 12 flying alone count as unaccompanied minors and can travel only with the "Volaris te Acompaña" service. For ages 13 to 17 the service is optional. It is sold separately online.
- In both cases, the child must first go to a Volaris counter with a person over 18 who has their boarding pass.
- Pets: if your pet and its carrier fit under the seat in front of you, it can travel in the cabin; otherwise it must be checked. Check the breed restrictions before your trip. You can add a pet in the cabin or in the hold when you book: look for the travel with your pet option at the seat selection step. Costs are in the additional services fees section.
Dress code
Casual clothes are fine. Not allowed: beachwear, pajamas and clothes with holes.
Changes and refunds
Unused bookings aren't refunded. The only way to get a refund is to email [email protected] at least 3 days before the flight departs.
