On Aeroitalia, booking and listing are done in myIDTravel only. Standby passengers check in at the airport desk, can't check through to a connection, and are boarded last. Staff Airlines shows estimated open seats on Aeroitalia flights before you go.

How to list for standby on Aeroitalia
Book and list in myIDTravel only. Don't come to the airport without having requested your ticket first.
Flights you can't use
Embargoes are listed in the embargo section of myIDTravel.
Visas and travel documents
For international travel you need a valid passport and visas for your final destination and for every stopover on the way, in case you are offloaded there. Aeroitalia isn't responsible for missing or invalid documents.
Employees and all beneficiaries, direct and indirect, must show their company ID card, or a photocopy of it, when asked.
Baggage
Included with concession tickets:
- Small backpack or handbag: 40 × 30 × 20 cm.
- Hand baggage: 55 × 40 × 20 cm, up to 10 kg.
- Checked baggage: 1 piece of 23 kg, up to 80 × 50 × 30 cm.
- Infant: 1 piece of 2 kg plus a stroller.
Bags can't be checked through to a connection on standby tickets. Staff concession travellers get no compensation if a bag is damaged or stolen, so take every precaution to keep your belongings safe.
Check-in
- Confirmed tickets: web check-in opens on Aeroitalia.com 24 hours before departure.
- Standby tickets, or travelling with a child or infant: check in at the airport check-in desk, no earlier than 3 hours before departure.
Through check-in isn't allowed on standby.
Boarding, seats and upgrades
Concession travellers can be offloaded and board last. At the gate, join the back of the queue.
Special services, children and pets
- Special services such as wheelchairs and pets in the cabin (PETC) aren't available on ZED/concession tickets.
- Unaccompanied minors on ZED/concession tickets aren't accepted.
Dress code
Dress appropriately and tidily, in line with common standards of good taste. Not allowed:
- Flip-flops, slippers, tank tops, shorts and bermuda shorts.
- Swimwear and beach clothes.
- Sportswear.
- Clothes with offensive text or images that could harm the airline's image.
If you don't follow the dress code, airport staff can deny you boarding.
Changes and refunds
- To get a refund on a confirmed ticket, cancel the reservation at least 72 hours before departure.
- Cancellations and refunds are requested following the instructions under the XZ ID Agreement in myIDTravel.
- If you don't show up on a confirmed concession ticket, the ticket can no longer be used or refunded.
- EU Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 doesn't apply to passengers flying free or at a reduced fare.
