Air Dolomiti staff travel & standby

IATA ENICAO DLAItaly ›

Every Air Dolomiti flight needs a listing. Dress smart casual, jeans and training shoes are fine in Economy but not in Business, and buy all the tickets you may need for the whole trip before you leave home, because local stations can't issue staff tickets. How to list for standby on Air Dolomiti

A listing is required on all Air Dolomiti flights.

Visas and travel documents

For international trips, carry a valid passport and the visas you need for your destination and for every scheduled stop on the way, in case you have to be off-loaded there.

Baggage

You get the same allowance as a full-fare passenger (see the Air Dolomiti website), but your bags travel only if there is space and the flight's weight limits allow it. Don't carry anything on behalf of someone else.

Checked baggage, each piece up to 158 cm (width + height + depth):

  • Economy: 1 piece, up to 23 kg.
  • Business: 2 pieces, up to 32 kg.

Cabin baggage, each piece up to 55 × 40 × 23 cm and 8 kg:

  • Economy: 1 piece.
  • Business: 2 pieces.

Check-in

Check in at the counter for the cabin class on your ticket. Where there is no Air Dolomiti desk, you can check in with Lufthansa. If you have an electronic ticket, you are asked to use the self-service machines.

The same check-in deadlines apply as for paying passengers. Air Dolomiti recommends being at check-in at least 60 minutes before the scheduled departure.

Through check-in to your connection isn't guaranteed. It is sometimes offered, depending on your itinerary and on the system.

Boarding, seats and upgrades

  • Employees of Star Alliance airlines get priority.
  • After that, priority depends on your travel group (employee, parents and so on), the employee's joining date and your check-in time.
  • Only staff travelers with a confirmed ticket can choose a seat, and there is a fee for it.
  • Even an assigned seat can be changed for commercial reasons, and you must move if check-in staff or the crew ask you to.
  • Don't ask anyone for an upgrade. If your cabin is full on the day, you are considered automatically for the next cabin up, depending on commercial and operational needs and as long as you meet that cabin's dress code. Paying passengers get upgrade priority.

Special services, children and pets

  • Only staff travelers with a confirmed ticket can order special meals, under the same rules as paying passengers.
  • Infant safety seats can't be used on board on a staff ticket.
  • Children under 16 can travel on a discounted staff ticket only with an adult on the same type of ticket.

Dress code

Dress smart casual. Smart, clean jeans and training shoes are fine: but not in Business, where they aren't accepted and can get you downgraded.

Changes and refunds

Buy every ticket you or your companions may need for the whole journey before you leave your home base. Air Dolomiti's local stations aren't set up to issue staff tickets.
