Air France staff travel & standby

Listing and booking on Air France flights opens 60 days before the travel date.

If your airline is an IET ZED partner, listing is mandatory. The login and password are given in your ZED agreement.

Before you go, check airfrance.fr for the legal conditions of booking on Air France and to confirm your flight is operating.

• Tickets must be used in order. Air France doesn't accept out-of-sequence use and won't consider any claims that result from it, so buy one-way coupons.
• Some routes have two sectors under one flight number, for example CDG-PPT-CDG with a stop in LAX. In that case book CDGLAX and LAXPPT as separate segments.

All codeshare flights are excluded, including Air France block-seat allotments on flights operated by another carrier (XX:AF).

Flights that Air France leases from other carriers can be used: these are coded XX*AF in the GDS.

There are no embargoes.

Check the immigration rules of your destination country before you travel: for example, South Africa's requirements for minors. Air France isn't responsible if you are missing any documents.

• Your checked allowance is shown on the itinerary receipt: 1PC of 23 kg maximum.
• Cabin: 1 bag of 35 × 55 × 25 cm plus 1 accessory, together no more than 12 kg. Bags that don't comply are taken at the gate and put in the hold.
• The list of prohibited items is on airfrance.fr; check it before you travel.

On stand-by tickets, baggage can't be checked through to a connecting flight.

• Pets aren't accepted in the cabin.
• In line with ZED rules, Air France doesn't carry unaccompanied minors on interline travel.

Always wear clean, neat clothes. Nothing that could offend or distract other passengers: no overly revealing or vulgar clothing, or anything that goes against community standards of decency. Parents are responsible for how their children are dressed and behave.

Confirmed leisure tickets:

• If you won't travel, cancel at least 10 days before departure on long-haul flights (zones 4 to 9), or 5 days before on European and domestic flights (zones 1 to 3).
• After those deadlines only the taxes shown on the ticket are refunded.
• No penalties apply.

Downgraded on a leisure trip? Email your boarding pass and memo travel to [email protected] to get the fare difference back. A downgrade from Business to Premium Economy may not be refundable, depending on your contract.
