Condor staff travel & standby

You must be listed on every Condor flight. If you use the myIDTravel portal, buying your ticket lists you automatically.

• Buy every ticket you are likely to need for the whole journey before you leave your home base.
• Your tickets must be issued by your own airline, unless you use myIDTravel.
• Condor doesn't reissue tickets for employees of other airlines.

All charter flights are excluded and embargoed. They can't be booked via Amadeus: the availability (AN) display shows only J, S and Z class for them.

You and your eligible travelers are responsible for having every document needed along the route, in case you are offloaded for commercial or other reasons. Condor can deny boarding to anyone without the right documents for every transit point on the way.

• Where required, Condor collects Advance Passenger Information (APIS) at check-in. Leave enough time before departure to provide it.

Flights to the USA:

• Your listing must include Secure Flight data: gender, first name and last name (both as on your passport) and date of birth. The data is sent to the US authorities 72 hours before departure, or when you list if that is less than 72 hours before.
• If you travel under the Visa Waiver programme, you also need an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization), ideally at least 72 hours before departure. You don't have to enter travel details or a US address. An approved ESTA is valid for two years, so apply early if you might travel to the USA in that time. Without it you can't fly on Condor to the USA.
• Apply at https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov (the site also lists which countries are in the Visa Waiver programme).

You get the same baggage allowance as commercial passengers. Check the details on www.condor.com before you fly.

Check in at the Economy counters if you hold a Y-class ticket, or at the Comfort class counters if you hold a C-class ticket. Because of added security procedures, check in no later than 90 minutes before departure.

• Boarding follows the priority list, by airline and date of joining (DOJ).
• Have your passport ready to show.
• You can't request a seat on an ID ticket. Even a seat assigned at check-in may be changed to make room for a commercial passenger.
• Which seat you get depends on how you present yourself: see the dress code below.

• Special meals can't be pre-booked on ID tickets.
• Children under 16 can't travel on a standby ticket unless an adult on a similar ticket travels with them. A special agreement exists between LH and DE.

Every staff traveler must dress in good taste: smart casual. If your clothes aren't right for the cabin you are eligible for, you will be seated in a lower cabin or may be refused travel. If an upgrade to a higher cabin is needed on the day, only travelers dressed for that cabin are considered.

Not allowed in any class:

• Jogging, running or warm-up suits
• See-through or revealing clothes
• Tank tops
• Leggings
• Bare midriffs
• Micro-mini skirts
• Clothes with offensive words or graphics
• Beach clothes and beach footwear
• Shorts

Make sure you cause no inconvenience to commercial passengers.

• Condor recommends comprehensive travel insurance for employees and their eligible travelers, for example in case of injury or lost documents or money.
