Check-in

Check-in opens 72 hours before departure. It closes at the latest 40 minutes before departure, depending on the airport and destination: see www.eurowings.com for the current rules.

Confirmed tickets (Leisure R1, Duty S1): check in in the app, online or at the airport, including self-service kiosks where available.
Standby tickets (R2): check in only in the Eurowings app or at the airport.
Business (BIZ) passengers can use priority check-in and security lanes where available.

Through check-in isn't possible on EW flights. At a connection, leave enough time to collect your bags and drop them off again.

Boarding, seats and upgrades

Standby boarding priority goes by priority group, then by seniority (date of employment). Your check-in time doesn't count.

On standby R2 tickets you can't choose a seat. If seats are available, one is allocated at the gate or in the Eurowings app after check-in closes.
Economy R1 passengers can book more-legroom seats for a fee.

Special services, children and pets

Pet in the cabin (PETC): subject to load. With a confirmed R1 ticket, add it online on the website or in the app; on a standby R2 ticket, ask at the check-in desk. Follow the requirements at eurowings.com
Wheelchair (WHCR/S): subject to load. With a confirmed R1 ticket, add it online on the website or in the app (see eurowings.com). On a standby R2 ticket, contact Eurowings customer service at least 48 hours in advance.

Dress code

Look well groomed, neat, clean and in good taste. In Business (BIZ), smart casual is required.

Fine:

business trousers, skirts, chinos, classic jeans
blouses, blazers, jackets, shirts
T-shirts, pullovers, cardigans, dresses
shoes in good condition (clean sneakers are allowed)

Not fine:

washed-out or ripped jeans
T-shirts with aggressive or discriminating prints or icons
provocative, sexy or otherwise unacceptable clothes
dirty or ripped clothes and shoes

If you don't follow the dress code, agents can refuse to carry you in Business.

Changes and refunds

If you booked extras for a confirmed ticket, such as a paid seat reservation or other special service requests (SSRs), the flight can't be refunded in myIDTravel. Email [email protected] for help.
If you are downgraded from Business to Economy, the fare difference isn't refunded.
