Vueling staff travel & standby

If you book through myIDTravel, you are listed automatically when you buy your ticket.

Buy every ticket you may need for the whole journey before you leave your home base. Tickets must be issued by your own airline, unless you are a myIDTravel user. Vueling won't reissue tickets for employees of other airlines.

You can't use charter flights or flights not operated by Vueling.

You and your eligible travellers are responsible for having every travel document needed along the route, in case you are offloaded for commercial or other reasons. Vueling can deny boarding to anyone who doesn't hold the right documents for each transit point.

• Checked: one bag of up to 25 kg per passenger, free. Above that, you pay the same excess weight fees as revenue passengers.
• Cabin: one carry-on bag plus one small personal item, such as a briefcase or handbag. The personal item must fit under the seat in front of you.

Check in at the airport counter no later than 90 minutes before departure: the extra time allows for security procedures. Online check-in isn't available to standby travellers.

Boarding follows the priority list, by airline and DOJ. Show your ID card or passport.

You can't request a seat. Even a seat assigned at check-in may be changed to make room for a commercial passenger.

• Special meals can't be pre-booked.
• Children under 16 can't travel on a standby ticket unless they are with an adult holding a similar ticket.
• Pets: space for animals is limited and you are on standby, so your pet can only be confirmed after all revenue passengers have boarded. Only animals on the approved list are accepted, in an approved non-rigid carrier of 45 × 39 × 21 cm and no more than 8 kg including the pet. Animals never travel in the hold.

Dress in good taste, smart casual, in clean clothes that are in good condition. Not allowed:

• sportswear
• see-through clothing, tank tops, leggings
• micro miniskirts, shorts
• beachwear or flip-flops
• clothes with offensive words or pictures
• nudity

Make sure you cause no inconvenience to commercial passengers.

All changes and cancellations are made only in myIDTravel.

• On a staff benefit ticket you have no right to a refund if the flight is delayed, cancelled or overbooked.
• To be listed on the next available flight, use myIDTravel.
• If your flight is overbooked, change it in myIDTravel.
• Vueling suggests requesting a cancellation before departure.

• ZED tickets are for private travel only and can't be used for any business travel.
• ZED tickets are not transferable and can't be sold.
• Vueling recommends comprehensive travel insurance for you and your eligible nominees, for example in case of injury or lost documents or money.
