Contour Airlines staff travel & standby

You must be listed in advance.

• Check whether Contour Aviation is available to you in myIDTravel; it is open for bookings by ZED travel partners.
• Reservations staff can only help with listings for ZED partner airlines and for non-eligible companions.
• All flights are ticketless: you get a 6-digit confirmation number.
• When you fly, bring proof of eligibility for your dependents and other eligibles: a printout from your airline's benefits page or internal booking system, or a letter from HR or your manager. It must show each person's name, relationship to the employee and date of birth.
• Don't contact Flight Ops or Dispatch to list for jumpseats, dead legs or repositioning flights.

Only Contour Airlines–branded CFM flights are covered. Contour charter flights aren't currently available to ZED partner employees and eligibles.

• First bag: the fee is waived.
• Second bag: $20, and $20 for each additional bag.
• Carry-on items: 30 lb maximum.

Check in at least 60 minutes before departure. Online check-in only gets you a security pass: you still have to see the gate agent with your credentials. Always carry government-issued ID.

Non-revs are cleared by check-in time, and a flight may not be cleared until 15 minutes before departure, so allow plenty of flexibility. Clearing order:

1. Contour team members and their eligibles.
2. Contour eligibles flying without a team member.
3. Other airlines' staff and eligibles with an employee travel agreement.
4. Other airlines' staff and eligibles without an official agreement, and jumpseaters.

All pass riders wear a slightly relaxed business casual: not your Sunday best, but try to blend in.

• Jeans are fine if they are clean, one colour and free of stains, odours, rips and tears. Designer or fashion jeans with tears, writing or lots of metal aren't.
• Men: no basic T-shirts (wear a dress T-shirt or a V-neck). No flip-flops or ordinary sandals; dress sandals that cover half the foot are acceptable.
• Women: dress sandals are allowed, and slippers if they are part of a dress outfit. No strapless or spaghetti-strap tops, and underwear shouldn't be visible.
• Not allowed for anyone: sexually explicit words or graphics, language that could be seen as offensive, revealing tank tops, mini skirts, short shorts, ripped or torn clothes, lycra, yoga pants or workout wear, pyjamas, board shorts with a T-shirt, and dirty or strong-smelling clothes.

Take off company IDs and airline lanyards so you don't draw attention. The planes are small and conversations carry, so don't discuss free or reduced-rate travel with other passengers.

If you haven't checked in and won't travel, cancel the booking (PNR) in myIDTravel before your travel date: this refunds the unused tickets in Contour's system.

Manual refunds can take up to 30 days. Please don't send several emails asking about them.

Commercial pilots, flight attendants and dispatchers with valid credentials are welcome to jumpseat on Contour. Fill in a form at the ticket counter before your gate or boarding pass is issued, and show it to the Captain when you board. Remove airline identification where you can, unless you are in uniform.
